Nancy Schulson Brownell grew up on the south side of Chicago, has traveled widely and has spent most of her days investigating humanistic issues as an artist, nurturing her family, and trying to define the responsibilities of being a good citizen.
Nancy received her BA from the University of Michigan and her MFA from the University of Chicago. She also studied at The Art Institute of Chicago and The University of Vienna. Her artwork is in numerous public and private art collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C.
